Marvel Reveals New Details For 'Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania'
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania received a jolt of marketing on Monday, with not only the second trailer, which premiered during the College Football National Championship, but a new synopsis, two posters, and several character confirmations.
The official synopsis reads “Super-Hero partners Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) return to continue their adventures as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Together, with Hope’s parents Janet van Dyne (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Hank Pym (Michael Douglas), and Scott’s daughter Cassie Lang (Kathryn Newton), the family finds themselves exploring the Quantum Realm, interacting with strange new creatures and embarking on an adventure that will push them beyond the limits of what they thought possible.” It doesn’t say much of Kang, played by Jonathan Majors, but it’s probably to leave moviegoers with as little knowledge of what to expect about him as possible, even with as much as we’ve gotten so far.

Marvel Studios also revealed four new characters introduced in the film, confirming the characters that Bill Murray and William Jackson Harper will play. Murray will play Lord Krylar, and Harper will play Quaz. In addition, Katy O’Brian plays the character Jentorra, while David Dastmalchian returns, not as Kurt from the X-Con Security crew, but as Veb, so expect him to be more than human. The two posters released showcase the heroes and Kang helmeted and unhelmeted, respectively, while the poster with them unhelmeted shows off more mooks, as well as Pfeiffer and Douglas.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is scheduled to be released on February 17, 2023, kicking off Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It will also feature Corey Stoll as MODOK and Randall Park returning as Jimmy Woo.
