'Making the Band' Meets 'The Muppets': Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem Focus Of New Disney+ Show

It’s definitely time to play the music with The Muppets Mayhem, an upcoming Disney+ series! Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem take center stage for this new series, showing a new story for the Muppets compared to their usual stories. According to Entertainment Weekly, there will be a total of 10 episodes with a runtime of about 30 minutes per episode.
New promotional images for the show have recently been released, as seen by EW and the band’s Twitter. The human star of the show Nora, played by Lilly Singh, is an aspiring record producer. She, along with her friend Hannah (Saara Chaudry) and a superfan of the band Gary "Moog" Moogowski (Tahj Mowry) go on an adventure to help the band create their first full-length album.

Electric Mayhem began as the house band on the 1976-1981 series The Muppet Show. The group consists of Animal on drums, Dr. Teeth on keys and vocals, Lips on trumpet, Janice on lead guitar and vocals, Zoot on saxophone, and Floyd Pepper on bass guitar and vocals.

Their latest appearances include features with the rest of the Muppets crew at The O2 in 2018 and The Hollywood Bowl in 2017. Animal was also a featured guest during the 2022 Game Awards. They have nearly 50 years of active experience.
The Muppets Mayhem doesn’t have an official release date yet. The music will definitely be something to hold out for!
