During New York Comic Con, producer Jason Blum and actress Allison Williams offered a brief preview of M3GAN 2.0. The sequel to the Blumhouse and Atomic Monster’s production is set to arrive in theatres on June 27, 2025. That teaser featured the titular M3GAN doll appearing on the screen to apologise that she couldn’t attend in person as she was on set, while some screen glitch effects distorted the image.

Before that teaser was shown, both Blum and Williams reflected on the viral success of the first film when it was released in 2023. Though details regarding M3GAN 2.0 were not revealed, it was said that the original cast and creatives behind the first film are back for this sequel. Williams also said that the sequel would be bigger and more expansive owing to what the crew learned during the production of the first M3GAN.

“Animatronics are, you know, temperamental. Sometimes she is rolled onto set. The vibe shifts in the room. It gets way spookier. It was fun to do it the second time. ‘Okay, so we know how this is achieved. We know how to do it.’ We can have a little bit more fun with it. And make it bigger and more expansive, without giving too much away.”

That teaser of M3GAN 2.0 was just one of the reveals at the Blumhouse-focused panel. Other films included in the line-up were Leigh Whannell’s Wolf Man, The Woman in the Yard, and Drop. Blumhouse’s first video game, Fear the Spotlight, was also featured in the panel. That video game is bringing a retro visual style, gunning for a similar vibe to Silent Hill and Resident Evil from their classic PlayStation releases.
