Leslie Grace Reveals What Her Suit Would've Looked Like In 'Batgirl'
The cancelation of Batgirl was a disappointing shock to many, another result of the Warner Bros./Discovery merger. There are several angles of speculation as to why this film got chopped, but in the end, it’s just speculation. The movie hasn’t fully died, though; the lead of the film, Leslie Grace, is once again giving fans an insider look at what could have been.
The actress gave snippets of behind-the-scenes footage in her end-of-the-year recap on Instagram. In these snippets, a crisp look at the Batgirl suit was shown. This suit design is pretty smooth, giving a sleek yet protected look befitting a vigilante superhero.

The look given is fantastic for reference; DC cosplayers have a history of detailed, beautiful recreations. Fans don’t have to act like this Batgirl never existed, they can keep it alive in their craft. The costume itself isn’t overly complicated either, making it more friendly for cosplay recreation.
To picture what could have been is a tad painful, but it may not be fully in the past. Brendan Fraser, who was meant to play the villain Firefly, called out the choice to scrap the film back in October. Commenting on the distrust it builds in the industry, his words may help to spark a revival eventually. The directors are still willing to work with the studio as well.
