Horizon: Zero Dawn and its sequel, Horizon: Forbidden West, are some of the most popular and best selling PlayStation games of the last decade. It was no surprise, then, when LEGO announced a collaboration on a set with the popular game, releasing the Tallneck set two years ago.

Now, according to Insider Gaming, there is a rumor that LEGO and PlayStation are teaming up for a new game based on the Horizon franchise, supposedly titled LEGO: Horizon Adventures.

According to IG’s sources, the game will be Horizon: Forbidden West, but with LEGO, and feature realistic graphics.

There is no confirmation at this time, but IG claims they have discovered an advertising trailer was recently completed for the game, and there is a PlayStation Showcase coming up during the summer game showcases that have replaced E3. So, if that pans out, it is likely to be shown at whatever Sony puts out for its Summer Showcase. Rumors surrounding when that will be seem to be targeting this month, since their 2023 showcase was in May of last year.

It’s a solid choice for a new LEGO video game franchise. The robotic nature of the creatures in the Horizon game lend themselves easily to a LEGO-style experience, and could likely feature extensive use of some kind of building mechanic. Perhaps building your own creatures? We shall see.

Keep an eye on our site to see if IG’s report pans out in the coming month.
