Kevin Feige Confirms Fan Theory On What Shows Are Part Of The MCU

It’s an exciting time for Marvel fans and book collectors: a new book detailing the current, official Marvel timeline has hit the marketplace! Marvel Studios: The Marvel Cinematic Universe: An Official Timeline was written by Anthony Breznican, Amy Ratcliffe, and Rebecca Theodore-Vachon. This timeline source, approved by Kevin Feige himself, will represent the official verdict for what is and is not in the official canon. With the copious amount of content out there, this source will define what you need to know.
Some may wonder where the various television shows and older movies fall in the timeline; Feige wrote the foreword of the book, and in this, he clarifies their place. The Multiverse could be playing a hand in things, but only time will tell. Feige’s statement on the matter is as follows:
“On the Multiverse note, we recognize that there are stories — movies and series — that are canonical to Marvel but were created by different storytellers during different periods of Marvel’s history. The timeline presented in this book is specific to the MCU’s Sacred Timeline through Phase 4. But, as we move forward and dive deeper into the Multiverse Saga, you never know when timelines may just crash or converge (hint, hint/spoiler alert).”
