Kenneth Branagh To Reprise Role Of Hercule Poirot In 'A Haunting In Venice'
Kenneth Branagh is no stranger to the literary cinematic adaptation world nor is he a novice in the ACU – Agatha Christie Universe. This versatile actor/director is set to reprise his role of the infamous Belgian detective known for his fantastic mustache for a third time, none other than the sleuth of all sleuths; Hercule Poirot. Branagh played the role previously in Death on the Nile as well as Murder on the Orient Express. A Haunting in Venice will be based on the Christie novel Hallowe’en Party.
Branagh’s experience in the literary world to the tune of the big screen is multifaceted as he has two Shakespearean tales to his credit – The four-hour film adaptation of Hamlet where he played the role of the title character alongside an all-star cast as well as the 1993 film Much Ado About Nothing where he stared as Benedict opposite Keanu Reeves and Denzel Washington.
