'Joker: Folie à Deux', Starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, Has Wrapped Filming
That’s a wrap, folks. The sequel to the hit film Joker (2019) has officially finished filming. Todd Phillips took to Instagram to celebrate, sharing new images of the stars of the film. Titled Joker: Folie à Deux, the film will return Joaquin Phoenix to the role of Joker and introduce Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn.
While only a short teaser and a few images have been released officially, the movie has seen a number of leaks in the last few weeks. From civilians to set workers, the videos and images have been numerous as filming had been underway in New York City. One video gained much traction last week, which showed Harley Quinn climbing the stairs to a courthouse, stopping to kiss a protestor.

Another leak making the rounds this week on Tik Tok gave the first glimpse of a musical number. It has long been stated that this film will be a musical, but much has been under wraps about how that will actually look.
Just like the first film, the sequel will not be a part of the larger DCU. Same as The Batman, it will be considered an Elseworld film. Joker: Folie à Deux dances its way into theaters on October 4th, 2024.
