J.J. Abrams' Secret Movie For Warner Bros. In Talks With Jenna Ortega

J.J. Abrams and his Bad Robot production company are working on a secret movie for Warner Bros., and the details are scant. The only facts revealed are that it’s not a time-travel movie and Glen Powell, who recently starred in Twisters and Top Gun: Maverick, is finalizing his contract for the film. However, it recently came to Light that Jennaq Ortega is in talks to star in the movie alongside Powell. Ortega starred in Scream VI, the third-highest-grossing film in the franchise, and in Netflix’s Wednesday, which was reportedly the most-watched series on the streaming platform.
The Hollywood Reporter referred to Powell and Ortega as members of the “New A-List” after talking with studio executives and producers. The pair certainly have box office successes to point to and seem to bring younger viewers to the theaters. Powell’s next project is a remake of Running Man by Edgar Wright while Ortega plays Lydia Deetz’s daughter in this fall’s Beetlejuice sequel. Ortega will also reprise her role as the titular character in the second season of Wednesday. If Abrams secures both stars for his film, their star power will likely bring home a box office success when the film finally lands in theaters.
