Indie Title 'Stray' Dethrones 'God Of War' For Top Spot On Steam In 2022
Stray was just released a little over a week ago on July 19, and it already has already taken the scene by storm. According to Steam250, Stray has topped God of War to become the best user-rated Steam game of 2022. Stray has a score of 8.61, meaning that 98% out of 42,665 reviews are positive. With Stray garnering over 60,000 players on Steam within 24 hours of release, Gamesradar+ thinks it is on its way to becoming the best Steam game of all time.
Annapurna’s Stray is a third-person adventure game that put the player in the body of an ordinary stray orange tabby cat who has gotten lost in a strange cyberpunk city. The simple controls and an open-world element allow the player to explore the world, knock over objects, meow, and essentially be a cat.
