Zack Snyder Gives Fans First Look At 'Star Wars' Inspired 'Rebel Moon'
A few years back, it was announced that Zack Snyder was set to direct a Star Wars film post-release of The Rise Of Skywalker. Sadly the plan fell through after the release of Justice League. Not one to be defeated so easily, Zack instead reworked his movie idea into a stand-alone Sci-Fi movie. After pitching what would later become Rebel Moon to Netflix, the company greenlit production on the movie. Today we saw our first glimpse of Rebel Moon, a makeup test that Snyder said he shot on his iPhone.
The test looks quite impressive, a horned alien woman with grey skin standing in the middle of rising smoke. This is the first official material surrounding the movie. Sadly those of us looking forward to the movie will be waiting for quite some time, filming began in late April this year and isn't set to conclude until November. The only way fans of Snyder will see any of the movie this year would be if they happened to stumble onto the lot in California where filming is taking place. When Rebel Moon releases it will do so as a two-part experience. Snyder says that he wants the movie to spawn a whole universe he can flesh out with original characters and ideas. For now, however, fans will have to continue to wait for more information to come out.
