Dave Filoni Teases 'Star Wars Rebels' Connection In 'The Mandalorian' Season 3
Dave Filoni, one of the masters of storytelling over at Lucasfilm, his various shows from The Clone Wars, Rebels, Resistance, and The Bad Batch have created so many interesting threads and story ideas throughout the Star Wars Universe. In The Mandalorian now we see him continuing these ideas along with his partner John Favreau are continuing these various threads throughout the series and beyond.
In a recent interview during Star Wars Celebration with Screen Rant, Dave Filoni has gone on record talking about how he has been working on various threads on Star Wars for the last few years and how some of this is coming ahead. He spoke a bit about how he has a story in place for how Luke and Ahsoka met but he doesn’t know how to tell it just yet. He also spoke about how the Ahsoka series will be in some ways a spiritual successor to Rebels.
Filoni is always talking about the various stories he wants to tell as well as ways to tell them. For him, he says the story is always evolving and changing as time moves on. Will we see some of these stories he talked about like Luke meeting Ashoka, possibly? Only Filoni knows when it is the right time for those stories to be told and how they should be told. Always in motion, the future is as Master Yoda once said, and so is the future of the Galaxy Far Far Away.
