'House Of The Dragon' Increases Viewership 2% During Second Episode
House of the Dragon made HBO history when its premiere episode, Heirs of the Dragon, brought in nearly 10 million viewers, the most successful premiere of all time for HBO. Its predecessor, Game of Thrones, only brought in 4.2 million viewers when it premiered in 2011.
HBO announced on Friday that the show had been renewed for a second season and that the premiere episode had now garnered almost 20 million views. According to the network, that number has now risen to just shy of 25 million. With this type of success, it would have been no surprise if the following episodes of the series were not able to quite reach the bar set by the premiere.

According to the network, 10.2 million viewers tuned in for the newest episode, a growth of 2%.
