Hit Children's (And Parent's) Show, 'Bluey', Is Getting A Movie
As a parent, you take what you can get to find things that your children enjoy watching and playing with. You hope they might enjoy the things you did when you were a kid, but, alas, some things just don’t hit the same way for them. Sometimes, you need a beacon. It’s like that meme where a blue dog comes along every now and then to guide a generation.
Bluey has swept American families nationwide. The cute little blue heeler and her sister, family, and friends star in 10-minute episodes with no blatant moral lesson or objective. Bluey characters engage in play learning, depicting the innocence of youth and reminding us not to forget to have fun.

It’s so successful that it’s won numerous awards, from BAFTA to the Television Critics Association. It’s even won a Peabody. Now, that success is bringing a feature-length movie in 2027.
The creator, Joe Brumm, reportedly said, "I've always thought Bluey deserved a theatrical movie. I want this to be an experiential event for the whole family to enjoy together."
It will be released in theaters in 2027 and then be streamed on Disney-owned platforms like Disney+ and ABC Kids in Australia. The movie will retain the voice actors who do the show, like Melanie Zanetti and David McCormack, who play Bluey’s mom and dad, respectively.
