HBO Max And DC Announce Premiere Dates For The Fourth Seasons Of 'Doom Patrol' And 'Titans' During New York Comic-Con
Titans and Doom Patrol are on their way back soon, but not together. At Sunday’s panel for both shows at New York Comic-Con, they hyped their upcoming fourth seasons with new teasers and announced premiere dates.
Titans is back on November 3, splitting the season in half with two episodes released on that date and one weekly until December 1. The remaining episodes will stream in 2023. They also showed off Beast Boy’s new comics-accurate red and white super suit, presumably replacing his jacket that served the same nod. This follows the unveiling of Brother Blood (played by Joseph Morgan), Jinx (Lisa Ambalavanar), and Mother Mayhem (Franka Potente) on Tuesday. Titus Welliver also joins this season as Lex Luthor. The season’s logline reads, “Having saved Gotham, the Titans hit the road to head back to San Francisco. But after a stop in Metropolis, they find themselves in the crosshairs of a supernatural cult with powers, unlike anything they’ve faced before.”
Doom Patrol comes in the very next week, December 8, in a move similar to how the three live-action Star Trek series immediately followed one another. The new season promises the were-butts weaponized forces of nature and show tunes. It will have the exact release format as Titans. This season, the team unexpectedly travels to the future to find an unwelcome surprise. Faced with their imminent demise, the team must choose which is more important: their own happiness or the fate of the world. While the first half of the season does run into the first week of 2023, the season’s back half will still be released before that year ends.
