Exciting news for 2024! Filming is set to start for Greta Gerwig’s collaboration with Netflix on ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’. Gerwig, who most recently crushed the box office with ‘Barbie’, is set to make her solo streaming collaboration debut with Netflix. She will be adapting multiple books from C.S. Lewis’s beloved series into film in the next year. So far, she’s attached to see at least two film adaptations through to completion.

Understandably, Gerwig has her anxieties about working on adapting such a beloved series, but she is eager to power through the fear and leave her mark on such a fantastic tale. Scott Stuber, the head of Netflix Film, is equally delighted about working with Gerwig. The collaboration is part of a broader delve that Netflix is taking into literary catalogues; in addition to the works of C.S. Lewis, there are plans to adapt works from the catalogue of author Roald Dahl in the future.
