The Walking Dead has explored all-out war, skinwalkers, and self-proclaimed governors. Even Fear the Walking Dead explored the fall of Los Angeles, the fate of Mexico, and the side effects of nuclear radiation. Yet, fans want more from the three new The Walking Dead series to be announced. The spinoff series is brought to life by Angela Kang, who is also the creator and producer of The Walking Dead. The executive producers are Scott M. Gimple, Daniel Percival, and David Zabel. Norman Reedus wanted to deliver fans a reset experience for Daryl. AMC has dubbed the show The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. Luckily, Greg Nicotero assured fans that this is as close as a show can get to stand alone.

"This is definitely not more of the same. Our show introduces new characters, new themes, and is an exciting extension of the genre that will delight people who love this kind of storytelling and crave more," he says.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon was filmed in Paris, France. Daryl washes up on a beach in France, with no idea as to how he wound up in Europe. This will be the first time The Walking Dead characters will be able to learn more about what happened to the rest of the world. In Fear the Walking Dead, the plot involved water cartels, gangsters, and the use of the Spanish language, which was different from the original series. French writing has already been seen inside the teaser. This could change how Daryl initially wants to communicate with folks.

Many fans of Carol and Daryl will be excited to hear that Carol will make an appearance in season 2 of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. Good news! Reedus has come to Melissa McBride's defense after it was announced that she would not be part of the upcoming The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. Reedus clarified that McBride simply wanted to take some time off, and he supported her decision. She will appear in season two.

The initial trailer ended with a scene with Daryl arriving outside an abandoned building. Yet, this week's teaser looked at what’s inside. Daryl enters the building as the audience is given a view of a zombie hand that rises ominously from the floor. This tells the audience that Daryl is alone and anyone that he can rely on is far from him. Much like these walkers, Daryl will tackle these problems on his lonesome.
