Giancarlo Esposito Could Be Announced As The Next Charles Xavier At San Diego Comic-Con According To Rumors

Giancarlo Esposito as Professor X?

There have been rumors abound on Reddit and Twitter that the Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige will be making an announcement concerning two actors in a certain Marvel franchise. Of course, these rumors are unsubstantiated and should be taken “with a grain of salt.”

This particular Tweet came from the subreddit r/MarvelStudioSpoilers where an insider had posted the details of every future project to be announced during the Marvel panel at San Diego Comic-Con. One such entry is “The Big Reveal” concerning Giancarlo Esposito being cast as Charles Xavier and Glen Powel as Scott Summers in a “mutant-centered film.” If the rumors are true, this will a huge leap for Marvel as the X-Men will finally be incorporated into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The rumor of Giancarlo Esposito being cast as Professor X is very well received by fans across the web. There are already fanarts of the actor as Professor X.

He normally portrays cunning and methodical villains, as seen in his recent role of Stan Edgar in The Boys and Moff Gideon in The Mandalorian. X-Men First Class writer Zack Stenz has even mentioned that Esposito can easily play Magneto as well as Professor X. It will be a treat seeing Esposito as the iconic mutant leader whether as Professor X or Magneto.
