Season 3 of The Witcher will hit Netflix this summer. A teaser trailer was recently released, giving a glimpse at what is coming. This will be Henry Cavill’s last season in the role with Liam Hemsworth taking his place as Geralt in the following seasons.

The trailer opens with Cavill’s Geralt facing an unknown threat while claiming he now understands fear. Freya Allan returns as Princess Cirilia calling out for Geralt and Anya Chalota’s Yennefer.

Netflix’s official synopsis for the season reads:

“As monarchs, mages, and beasts of the Continent compete to capture her, Geralt takes Ciri into hiding, determined to protect his newly-reunited family against those who threaten to destroy it. Entrusted with Ciri's magical training, Yennefer leads them to the protected fortress of Aretuza, where they hope to uncover more about the girl's untapped powers; instead, they discover they've landed in a battlefield of political corruption, dark magic, and treachery. They must fight back, put everything on the line — or risk losing each other forever.”

The third season is split into two parts with the first batch of episodes releasing on June 29 and the rest releasing on July 27. While they are waiting, cans can catch up on the previous season of The Witcher on Netflix.
