Fan Leaks 'Star Wars: Andor' Season 2 Trailer During Celebration London

Star Wars Celebration has kicked off with a bang. The first day has already brought the announcements of three new films, a trailer for Ahsoka, and a confirmation of a second season of Andor. While the public hasn’t officially been shown the trailer for Andor Season 2, one person in attendance managed to record part of the trailer and share it on Twitter.
Besides a look at the growing rebellion, the trailer doesn’t reveal much beyond familiar faces such as Mon Mothma and Luthen. Variety reports that “Luna is returning, along with Stellan Skarsgård, Genevieve O’Reilly, Kyle Soller, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Faye Marsay and Varada Sethu.” The next 12 episodes are set to be the last as it takes place over four years leading up to Rogue One.

The leak is less than a minute of footage but leaves a lot of imagery to be unpacked. The cracks are being shown in the Empire. A voice states, “Everyone has their own rebellion, right?” as the audience is shown an image of what appears to be an Imperial Officer, before cutting immediately to a large-scale protest. Fans can also expect Bix and Andor to reunite in the coming season, as they are shown together in the trailer. This is all sequenced throughout quickly transitioned shots of numerous characters, shootouts in elevators, meetings in official gatherings, collecting orders, and sneaking through tunnels.
The season has been shooting as fast as possible, but it has yet to be finished. Nonetheless, Tony Gilroy says fans can expect Andor Season 2 to be streaming in August 2024 on Disney+.
