Union members are falling into increased hardship as they go for longer without work and the fund is coming under pressure. Expenses that members would normally be able to cover, are bringing them to the breadline. The strain on the SAG-AFTRA Emergency Relief Fund has become so great that President Courtney B. Vance and executive director Cyd Wilson sent a letter to the Hollywood Glitterati for aid, and in true superhero style, the Rock rushed to the phone.
