When it comes to Doctor Who, trying to navigate it can be confusing. There’s the old Doctor Who, which contained Doctors 1-8, and then you have the reboot from 2005 that started with the Ninth Doctor. The series has started again, with Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteen Doctor. The first season of The Fifteenth Doctor recently wrapped up, but that doesn’t mean we won’t have to wait a while to see him again. Doctor Who has always done Christmas specials, that release on or around the holiday. This year during the San Diego Comic-Con panel, a first look at the upcoming Christmas special was released.

The special, titled “Joy To The World”, will star Bridgeton actress Nicola Coughlin. The Doctor continues his journey throughout space and time, but this time, he aims to deliver a Ham and Cheese toastie and a pumpkin latte to the correct person. He meets various people throughout history until he meets Joy. Joy is currently trying to defend herself from a Silurian who has come into her room. The Doctor sees the scene and knows he’s in the right place. That is where the first look ends.

The Doctor Who Christmas special will be available on Disney+ and BBC iPlayer, just like the 60th anniversary specials and the newest season were.
