Disney Price Increases Incoming Across All Streaming Services
At a time when it seems as if the price of everything is increasing, Disney is showing that they are no exception. Disney’s latest price raise will be put into effect on October 17th of this year and will apply to Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+, with each service increasing by close to $2 per month, with a Disney+ and Hulu bundle costing $10.99 per month for the service with ads, and $19.99 without them. This service will not have an annual payment option. All users who renew after the 17th will have to pay the new prices for all updates.
There will also be four different playlists. These will be called Seasonal Content, Epic Stories, Throwbacks, and Real Life. Seasonal content will be stuff with a season theme, Epic Stories will include Marvel and Star Wars material, Throwbacks will feature nostalgic stories, and Real Life will focus on biopics and other non-fiction works.
Alisa Bowen, president of Disney+ described the move recently. “Playlists are the latest example of how we’re providing the best value and experience for our subscribers every time they open Disney+, Whether it is news, kids’ content, popular genres, hit TV shows, or blockbuster films, there will be something for everyone in a lean-back viewing experience based on seasonality and interest.”
