Hasbro Announces New Beyblade Tops For 'Star Wars' And Marvel
At Gen Con 2024, Hasbro has announced several new Beyblade multisets. These sets contain 2 tops and two launchers each and are themed around Star Wars and Marvel. Each set is themed around two characters, among the featured sets are Iron Man vs. Thanos, Spider-Man vs. Venom, The Mandalorian vs. Moff Gideon, and Luke Skywalker vs. Darth Vader. These sets are priced to about $25 each and will go on sale this fall. Hasbro is taking good advantage of both of their licenses and delivering themed sets to encourage more Star Wars and Marvel fans to buy Beyblade products.
Beyblade is a line of spinning top toys developed by Takara (now Takara Tomy) in 1999. Licensed for release in the United States by Hasbro, Beyblade has been around for around 25 years now, with manga and anime series helping to market the tops to consumers. These new sets mark the latest in several of Hasbro’s toy lines which cross-pollinate two of their licenses. Another prominent example of this is the various Star Wars Transformers lines released over the years, as well as the various themed board games. Those looking for more Hasbro news should be sure to stick around for a bit, we’ve got plenty.
