The D23 Expo is full of unexpected news. A sequel to the 2007 film Enchanted is releasing on Disney+ on November 24. The new film is called Disenchanted, not to be confused with the Netflix series Disenchantment. Disney released a new poster and trailer for the movie at today’s D23 Expo.

The film is set 15 years after Giselle and Robert’s wedding. The pair have left the city behind to buy a fixer-upper in the suburbs of Monroeville. With their daughter and an infant in tow, the family encounters a new villain, Malvina Monroe, who ensures Giselle follows the rules. Disappointed with her difficulty in finding happily ever after, Giselle turns to magic to bring the fairy tale kingdom to life in Monroeville. However, as expected, everything goes terribly wrong. Giselle has until midnight to right the wrongs before her world is changed forever.

The new poster shows Giselle holding a golden wand with her family and friends behind her. The villains of the story are shown in faded colors in the background. The movie’s tagline, “Happily Never After,” is written in gold under the film’s title.

Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey, Idina Menzel, and James Marsden reprise their roles from the original film while Maya Rudolph steps into the new villain role. Until November, moviegoers can find their fantasy fix with the Hocus Pocus sequel releasing on the Disney+ platform on September 30.
