Disney+ 2025 Lineup Trailer Reveals First Footage For 'Andor' Season Two

It has been known for some time that Andor season two would be coming in 2025, with this week seeing the first marketing for that season. Empire Magazine has unveiled details of its November issue, which holds interviews with main cast members and the showrunner of Andor. And in the Disney+ 2025 lineup trailer, snippets of footage from the second season were shown.
Collected together by Discussing Film, the footage totals just 11 seconds. But what is seen in that footage proves very exciting. Of note within that short time is Cassian piloting some sort of TIE starfighter, which matches with current depictions of a TIE Avenger. The second major part to note is the exchange between Cassian and Luthen Rael. “You need to think like a leader.” It’s already been known that this second season will show Cassian’s growth into the person he appeared as in Rogue One. But from this snippet of footage, it seems Luthen will be playing a part in that growth. And, at the start of the footage, could that possibly be the planet Ghorman?
Just like with season one, this second season will be twelve episodes. Unlike with season one, this second season will jump across years to get the characters in place for the start of Rogue One. The second season of Andor is set to premiere on April 23, 2025. How many episodes it premieres with is unknown. If it follows in the footsteps of season one, it’s likely the first three episodes could be watched on that date.
