Discovery+ and HBO MAX will Merge According To Warner Bros. Discovery
Discovery+ and HBO Max will merge according to Warner Bros. Discovery. The combined streaming service will launch in the Summer of 2023. Warner Bros. Discovery has been in the news recently due to cancellations and removals of several shows and movies, including the unreleased Batgirl.
Along with the merger with HBO Max, which is aimed at preventing the loss of subscribers, Warner Bros Discovery+ is also in a ten-year DC franchise development with the aim to rival Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe. This titan of mergers has also proposed free streaming with the support of advertisements.

Once the Discovery+ and HBO merger is completed, the newly formed streaming company plans on focusing primarily on theatrical releases. This is partly due to Warner Bros Discovery+ starting with nearly 55 billion in debt after its merger with AT&T’s WarnerMedia unit.
