'Dexter' Trinity Killer Series Continues Development At Paramount+ & Showtime
The Dexter prequel series centered around the Trinity Killer is still in development. The series follows the makings of the infamous serial killer, originally played by John Lithgow. Sources have indicated that the series, which is one of several Dexter spin-offs, is still in the planning stages, where scripts are being written, but actual shooting hasn’t begun. The creators of the Trinity Killer series, Clyde Phillips and Scott Reynolds, have been discussing the series with others, making it clear that the show is on the back burner and still under development. They have confirmed that shooting will begin in January, and the show is planned for a June 2025 release.
Other Dexter spin-offs include Original Sin, a prequel centered around a younger Dexter Morgan, and Resurrection, a follow-up to the highly acclaimed New Blood limited series. Original Sin was launched on December 13, which also included a little tease for Resurrection by elaborating on the fate of Dexter himself. The Trinity Killer series is coming to Paramount+ and Showtime, and will likely include John Lithgow among the cast, similar to how Michael C. Hall narrates Original Sin. Who plays the young Trinity Killer is not yet known, but all will be revealed in the future.
