Carl Weathers Gets Heartfelt Farewell Honor In 'The Mandalorian' Season Three BTS
The Star Wars Galaxy does not forget those it has lost. Carl Weathers, who passed away earlier this year, played a prominent role in Star Wars: The Mandalorian as recurring character Greef Karga, and they have certainly repaid the favor. A behind-the-scenes look at The Mandalorian Season Three, as seen on the UHD Disc, features members of the cast and crew singing his praises as an actor and director, as he did direct a few episodes of season three. This is just one of several features from this set, which also includes Loki season two, Hawkeye season one, and Ahsoka season one.
Carl Weathers was born on January 14, 1948, in New Orleans. He was involved in sports at a young age, eventually becoming a professional football player. After that, he pursued acting full time after having studied theater at San Diego State. In addition to his role as Greef Karga, he was famous for his work in the Rocky series as Apollo Creed and Dillion in Predator. He has had several award nominations over the years, including a Primetime Emmy nomination for his role as Karga. Weather passed away on February 1 of this year, survived by his two sons.
