Bob Iger Reveals Release Window of 'The Acolyte' and Said He Was 'Very Impressed' With What He Saw
Between the theatrics of Andor, the action of The Mandalorian, and the story behind The Bad Batch, Star Wars fans have a lot to be thankful for as they prepare for the Celebration Event in April.
Returning Disney CEO Bob Iger has even more good news for fans. Iger recently screened a clip from the upcoming series Star Wars: Acolyte. Iger said that he was very impressed with the clip and revealed that the series will hit streaming on Disney+ in 2024.

Acolyte has garnered interest for being the first on-screen depiction of the High Republic era, approximately 100 years before The Phantom Menace. The series will focus on the Sith according to Acolyte star Dafne Keen. The actress teased, “It’s kind of an explanation of how the Sith infiltrated the Jedi. It’s a Sith-led story which has never been done before.”
The show’s official synopsis is, “A mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers in the final days of the High Republic era.
A former Padawan reunites with her Jedi Master to investigate a series of crimes, but the forces they confront are more sinister than they ever anticipated.” While waiting for the exciting new series, Star Wars fans can read up on the High Republic era in the comics.
