Later this week two ‘Black Adam’ actors, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (star of the movie in the role of Black Adam himself) and Pierce Brosnan (cast as Dr. Fate), confirmed on social media that they are going to appear at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday, July 23rd, alongside the other stars of the movie, such as Sarah Shahi, Aldis Hodge, Noah Centineo and Quintessa Swindell.

While Johnson tweeted that ‘Black Adam’ will be presented in Hall H (arguably one of the most important stages of the event), saying that he counts on the “6000 strong” to be there in attendance, Brosnan posted a short video on his Instagram account with clips from the movie’s trailer, announcing the event and his participation. Hodge also promoted the panel on his Instagram, inviting people and saying that they “do not want to miss this” (see the posts below).

Black Adam’ is also likely to add to Zachary Levi’s ‘Shazam’ (2019) lore in the DC universe, since the characters are antagonists. In the 2019 movie, Black Adam was one of the people who took the power of the Wizard (played by Djimon Hounsou) but was corrupted by it. This year the new ‘Shazam! Fury Of The Gods’ movie is going to premiere as well, so connections between the two intellectual properties could be strengthened during the period.

Black Adam and Hawkman

The movie, set to be released to the American public in cinemas on October 21st, tells the story of Johnson’s character (Black Adam) who, after 5000 years imprisoned, returns to the world to confront those who wronged him in the past. Other important DC heroes (besides Johnson’s and Brosnan’s characters) that are confirmed to be in the movie are Hawkman (Hodge), Atom Smasher (Centineo), and Cyclone (Swindell).
