A new character is coming to Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power, and she’s working with an old one. Miranda, as played by Amelia Kenworthy, is a protege of Celebrimbor, the master smith who forged the titular Rings of Power. According to Amazon, Miranda’s “loyalty will be tested when an unexpected visitor arrives in Eregion, with the potential to alter the destiny of the Elven-smiths forever.” In this part of the story, Celebrimdor has just forged the three elven rings, perhaps Sauron could be visiting to “help” them forge the rings of men and dwarves?

To elaborate, Sauron forged the One Ring by himself, the elven smiths of Eregion created the elven rings, and they worked together to create the rings of men and the rings of dwarves. Saroun was later discovered and fled Eregion, returning with an army and razing the place. Celebrimdor was captured, tortured into revealing the location of the rings of men and dwarves and executed. It should be noted that Mirandia is an original character, not found in the writings of Tolkien. However, this was an important part of the history of Middle Earth, and she is looking to have a front row seat. Only time will show where her story leads next.
