When Disney bought Marvel, it was a common opinion that it would make it very family-friendly, even kid-friendly. Although much of the early material was certainly appropriate for kids, it started with the grown-up audience in mind. However, things have slowly crept up in tone, as R-rated content including the two series Hit-Monkey and Echo and the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine movie.

It doesn’t seem to be stopping there, as more projects have been announced, and are coming up soon. The aforementioned first season of Hit-Monkey will be followed up by season 2 on July 15. The series will once again feature the titular character as he goes around New York and Tokyo, going toe to toe with the criminal underworld.

Another series will be Marvel Zombies, which will be a spin-off of the zombie episode in season 1 of What If…? No release date for the animated show has been announced, but it could be in 2025 or even late 2024, with Ms. Marvel rumoured to play a major role.

Blade, in its production hell, has had many changes, including the change from a PG-13 rating to an R-rating. There are also rumours of Daredevil: Born Again being R-rated. Neither of these productions has an official release date either, although rumours of sometime in 2025 have circulated for both.
