All 9 Skywalker Saga Movies Are Coming To Theaters On May The 4th

A true return of the Jedi is commencing; come May 4th, all nine Skywalker Star Wars films are returning to theater screens. From where it all began to the Skywalker legacy continuing with newcomer Rey, Lucasfilm announced that in honor of the 25th anniversary of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, their fans will “have the chance to experience the entire Skywalker Saga in theaters” on the famously dubbed Star Wars Day. Tickets are available already for purchase along with information about the 20 hour and 22 minute-long marathon.

The Skywalker films are being released in chronological order based on the fandom timeline—Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, Star Wars: A New Hope, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and ending of course with Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. Fans will be immersed in the fantastic score of John Williams and reliving the moment on Tatooine where Luke looks longingly at the sight of the twin suns as his life and the adventure of a lifetime begins.

More is coming for fans of George Lucas’s films. According to starwars.com and ScreenRant, a “sneak peek” at The Acolyte during the mega-movie marathon event. Given that the latest addition to the Star Wars canonical timeline hints at “thrilling characters, storylines, and conflicts” and its finer details have remained somewhat under wraps, fans who gather to watch all the Skywalker films will be gifted with an “exclusive look” bound to “offer brand-new information” ahead of The Acolyte's June 4, 2024, release date.
This is truly a “unique event” for fans spanning at least two generations to witness the saga for the first time (or second time) in theaters as opposed to watching all the films in the comfort of their homes.
