Adult Swim And Hulu Cut Ties With 'Rick & Morty' Co-creator Justin Roiland Amid Court Case
Well known for being the co-creator (along side Dan Harmon), executive producer, and voice actor of the acclaimed series Rick and Morty, Justin Roiland is facing major consequences in his professional life. Following the domestic violence allegations against Justin Roiland, both Adult Swim and Hulu decided to cut relations with the producer.
“Adult Swim has ended its association with Justin Roiland”, stated the company spoke person on Tuesday. It was clarified that Rick and Morty will continue, with a whole crew working hard on season 7. Roiland's main voice roles, for instance, Rick Sanchez, Morty Smith, Mr. Poopybutthole, and Mr. Meeseeks, will be recast for future episodes and seasons of the show.

Justin Roiland also co-created, produced, and starred in Hulu’s animated series Solar Opposites, in addition to performing on the platform’s animated comedy Koala Man. “We have ended our association with Justin Roiland"; according to a statement from 20th Television Animation and Hulu Originals.
The whole situation was mostly out of the public eye until January 12, 2023, the date on which Roiland attended a hearing about the case. He was charged with a felony count of domestic battery with corporal injury and one felony count of false imprisonment by menace, violence, fraud, and/or deceit by the Orange County District Attorney’s office.
The incident in question allegedly took place on January 2020, according to a complaint filed in May of that same year; Roiland pleaded not guilty to the charges later on October 2020. The next hearing for the case will take place on April 27, 2023.
No trial date has been set but is already affecting different aspects of the media. Only time will tell if Justin Roiland is guilty or not. We can only hope for true justice for everyone involved in the process; regarding the production of the shows, we hope everything works out for the best as well.
