Adam Driver Confirms He Is Not Returning To The 'Star Wars' Franchise
During an appearance on the Smartless podcast, Adam Driver stated that he has no intention of returning to the Star Wars franchise. In response to the question of whether he would reprise his role of Kylo Ren in the future, he said “They’re doing stuff, but not with me. I’m not doing any more.”
There have been rumours and speculation regarding various sequel trilogy characters making a return to the big screen ever since April 2023. That month held the latest Star Wars Celebration event, where it was announced that three new movies were in the works. One of those is Rey rebuilding the Jedi Order after the events of The Rise of Skywalker.

Though Kylo Ren returned to the light, once again becoming Ben Solo, he died to save Rey. But as we all know with Star Wars, death is never final. At least for a Force user. His spirit lives in the Force, and with it the ability to commune with those still living. Whether there are plans to have something like this in the New Jedi Order film is unknown, but if Driver’s words are final, it seems very unlikely.
Details on the New Jedi Order era film, along with the other two visiting different eras of the timeline, are light. Very little has been revealed on all of them since that April 2023 announcement, but all of them seem to be introducing something new to the Star Wars galaxy.
