Actor Paul Grant, Who Appeared In 'Return Of The Jedi' And 'Harry Potter And The Philosopher’s Stone,' Has Passed Away At The Age Of 56
Sci-fi and fantasy actor Paul Grant has passed away at just fifty-six. He collapsed at King’s Cross train station in London on March 16th and passed away three days later.
Grant’s works include some of the most iconic films of the age. He landed his first role in a major motion picture at the tender age of thirteen as an Ewok in Star Wars: Episode V-Return of the Jedi. George Lucas would then sign him up for Willow and Labyrinth. Grant not only was part of the Goblin Corps in the Bowie musical movie, but he acted as Hoggle’s stand-in as well. He has worked with some of the biggest directors in Hollywood such as Ridley Scott (Legend) and John Huston (The Dead).
He took a break from acting due to personal problems but returned with gusto, playing another goblin in the vast vaults of Gringotts in Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone. It seemed like Grant could always spot a hit.
Paul Grant is survived by his partner, Maria; and three children, Sophie, Nicole, and Robbie. He was very much loved by his family and will be sorely missed.
