The release date for Agatha All Along is in just about a month, and with the date drawing closer comes more promotional content. During D23, Disney’s fan-focused convention, an official trailer was released for the series! The plot picks up sometime after its predecessor, WandaVision, following a now-depowered Agatha Harkness as she tries to restore her abilities. Check it out below!

The song “Agatha All Along”, introduced in WandaVision, plays over the recap at the trailer’s beginning. Its name is shared with the show's title, and it serves as a reminder of how tricky Agatha can be. The music seamlessly shifts to a new original song for the show, “The Ballad of the Witches’ Road.” Agatha’s pushing to form a coven and make the journey down the Witches’ Road so she can regain her powers; it’s said that if you make it then you will be given whatever you want most, or what the individual is missing, so the exact form of reward for making it to the end of the Road is unclear.

Aubrey Plaza’s character rises from the ground to join the group uninvited, but her character’s angle is unclear beyond sticking around for amusement. Tests are stressed as a feature of the Road, putting individuals through trials to gauge “knowledge of the craft.” It appears that there’s even a parallel to The Wizard of Oz in one of these tests, one of the individuals bearing resemblance to Glinda, the Good Witch of the East, and another to Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West. Disney isn’t skimping on the details for this series, both big and small.

Agatha All Along has its two-episode premiere on September 18, 2024, streaming exclusively on Disney+. After the premiere, each episode will be released weekly every Wednesday; there will be nine in total. If you need a bit more of a plot recap before delving into the new series, the entirety of WandaVision can be streamed on Disney+.
