A New Poster For 'Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves' Features Art From Another Tabletop Roleplaying Game's Bestiary

Red and silver Text: Dungeons&Dragons: Honor Among Thieves with black background

This weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, more information about the upcoming Dungeons and Dragons movie, Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thievescame out. There was a panel with the cast and crew and a trailer shown. Not only that, but attendees got a first look at the film's footage. There was also a cool tavern experience that lets you experience a D&D tavern in real life. For those at home, we've been watching everything on the internet and even got the SDCC exclusive poster made for this event.

The poster looks like your average movie poster. It has a classic look, but if you look closely, in the left-hand corner, there's artwork of a creature that shouldn't belong. While this creature, the Intellect Devourer, is in Dungeons and Dragons, this art is in the roleplaying game Pathfinder. Both games share many of the same elements, but this should've been researched, as they are still two different games.

The creature isn't the issue here, the intellect devourer has been around a long time, and people are able to use it as they see fit, thanks to the Open Gaming Content. Instead, the issue is the art, as it's the official art from the Pathfinder 2 Bestiary and not something available within the Open Gaming Content.

The poster has since been pulled and is no longer available at the booth. Mistakes happen, so hopefully, the poster can be fixed with another intellect devourer. Hopefully, everyone involved can get together, fix the issue, and eventually laugh it off.
