A New Crossover Event By Marvel Comics Called 'Dark Droids' Was Announced At Star Wars Celebration London

Star Wars comics have explored and continued many different stories. The Star Wars comics have also been exploring crossover events recently such as War Of The Bounty Hunters, Crimson Reign, and Hidden Empire. Dark Droids is the newest crossover event from Marvel comics, which was announced during Star Wars Celebration London.
Dark Droids will tell the story of droids, cyborgs, and everything in between all getting corrupted by a mysterious new threat called the Scourge. Ajax Sigma, who first appeared in Star Wars Revelations #1 will play a role in the saga, even though his true motives remain unknown.

Charles Soule will helm the mini-series with Luke Ross (Darth Maul) doing the art. The series will eventually spin into various one-shots and crossover into the four ongoing Marvel series such as Star Wars, Darth Vader, Doctor Aphra, and Bounty Hunters. It is unknown however how much the new series will tie in with the current series, but it’s safe to assume that Dark Droids will be more similar to War Of The Bounty Hunters instead of the Crimson Reign and Hidden Empire crossover events. Soule said that Dark Droids happens because of Lando and that fans of his Lando miniseries will be rewarded.
