A 'House Of The Dragon' Trailer For Team Black Has Been Released

Get ready, House of the Dragon fans, the #TeamBlack trailer is here! HBO is pitting fans against each other once again. Game of Thrones had Stark, Lannister, and Targaryen. House of The Dragon brings us Team Green, aka Aegon and the Hightowers versus Rhaenyra and Daemon, or Team Black. This season, King Viserys is dead, and both sides are fighting over the Iron Throne. Dragons at the ready. Two trailers, black and green, but which is better?
Let’s take a look at #TeamBlack.
In the #TeamBlack trailer, we get a first look at the Dragon seeds, bastards of Valyrian descent, who were recruited by Rhaenyra as dragon riders. There’s little of Matt Smith, although the shot of him lazily threatening everyone is probably the best moment in the trailer.

There are frequent nods to classic Westeros locations, we get a clip of Storm’s End and Dragonstone. However, there is also a shot of a dragon flying over the Isle of Faces, an important place so far only mentioned in the books. It’ll be interesting to see if that crops up.
There’s a tantalising teaser of the back of Tom Taylor’s head at The Wall. Taylor is cast as Lord Cregon Stark, and unless George R. R. Martin has added a scene in Winds of Winter, this doesn’t happen in the novels. So, it could be part of a completely new plotline.
House of The Dragon season two is out on June 16th. Cheer on Rhaenyra and the rest of #TeamBlack, just don’t get too attached. George R. R. Martin’s characters don’t get happy endings. Season Eight, anyone?
