Planets are an essential part of the Star Wars universe. Fans have been introduced to new planets through movies, TV shows, and even books. Every planet in Star Wars has some sort of purpose, though some planets seem more hospitable than others. These are the planets everyone should want to visit if they had the chance; let’s explore some of the best destinations in Star Wars.

7. Takodana

The homeworld of Maz Katana. This planet is covered in forests and small lakes, and offers easy access to various trade routes. It’s become a haven for smugglers, fugitives, and explorers due to its neutral stance. If you look past the shady nature of some of the visitors that stop on this planet, it would be an excellent place.

This planet served as the Resistance base in The Force Awakens. It’s a good place for a rebel stronghold, as it’s located within the Outer Rim. The planet is similar to Yavin 4, with a lush jungle terrain and manageable temperatures. The planet did not host any intelligent life; only animals such as birds and insects. Besides the challenging ecosystem and various predators, this would be the perfect planet.

5. Alderaan

With leaders like Bail and Breha Organa, life would be pretty sweet on this planet. It has a natural beauty illustrated and enhanced by mountains and waterways. The Alderaanians lived for the beauty of the planet, even its forgotten crevasses and treacherous cliffs. The main city itself had futuristic architecture and would’ve been an ideal place to liv—as long as you vacate the planet before the arrival of the Death Star in A New Hope.

4. Yavin 4

The moon served as the rebel base in A New Hope. Its land is made up of forests and jungles, and has a mostly moderate climate. While this all sounds nice, its biggest flaw is a lack of natural resources. So if you bring your own food and water, Yavin 4 could be a wonderful vacation destination.

The forest moon has a robust environment filled with trees, mountains, and clear air. The local population consists of Ewoks, but they seem friendly, once you get to know them. This world would be best to visit without Imperial control, but luckily, the Ewoks helped the Rebellion rid the moon of any Empire presence.

2. Coruscant

While the lower levels of the planet may be dangerous, the rest of the planet would be ideal for anyone who loves city life. The planet was featured heavily in the prequel trilogy, and was the homeworld for the Galactic Senate and the Jedi Order. What it lacks in natural scenery like mountains and greenery, it makes up for with its futuristic skylines. Technology advancements even made it possible to control the weather, which makes Coruscant almost perfect.

1. Naboo

Padme Amidala’s homeworld. This planet’s natural beauty surpasses all other worlds in Star Wars. It has mountains, lakes, forests, and swamps, as well as gorgeous countrysides, like the one where Anakin and Padme got married during Attack of the Clones. The architecture of the city is different from that of Alderaan and Coruscant, so it’s perfect for those who want something less futuristic-looking.

Whether you're rebuilding the Resistance or taking a break from work, these are the planets you want to check out. There’s a wide range of characteristics that make these planets better than most. Mustafar is too hot, and Exegol is too dark, but a place like Yavin 4 is far enough away and has the perfect temperature to set up your next Rebel base. Planets will continue to be an essential part of Star Wars, and hopefully some of the newest ones will amaze like these.
