Din Djarin's Best Moments In the First Two Seasons Of ‘The Mandalorian’
It is hard to believe that we are only a few days away from The Mandalorian Season 3 premiere on March 1st! Din Djarin has come far since the first time we met him. Early on, he was a lonely bounty hunter trying to get by in the galaxy. Now, he is a father to a little green alien named Grogu. The two of them are now making their way through the galaxy and avoiding the Imperial Remnant. They have both had some great moments together and separately in the two seasons we have known them. So let's take a look at some of Din Djarin's best moments from both seasons of The Mandalorian.
5. Assembling A Team To Rescue Grogu From Moff Gideon
Moff Gideon has taken Grogu. Din is upset and swears to go after Grogu and Moff Gideon. First, he needs to assemble a team. He recruits Bo-Katan Kryze, Koska Reeves, Cara Dune, and Fennec Shand. They fight their way through and succeed in rescuing Grogu. Din also acquires the Darksaber in the process.

4. His Entrances
“I can bring you in warm, or I can bring you in cold.”
Remember the scene in Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers when Aragorn opens the doors and enter the throne room of Helm’s Deep? Well, Din Djarin has those types of entrances. Whether or not he means to enter rooms like that, it does not make them any less dramatic.
3. Fighting The Krayt Dragon With Cobb Vanth
At the very beginning of Season 2, we are introduced to Cobb Vanth. He is currently wearing Boba Fett’s armor, after acquiring it from the Jawas. Din agrees to help Cobb fight the krayt dragon that has been terrorizing the town in exchange for the armor. He agrees, and with the help of the Tusken Raiders, they are able to take it down successfully. Din gains a new ally, gets the armor, and is able to eventually return it to its owner.
2. Rescuing Grogu From The Empire
Even though Grogu is 50 years old, he is still a little guy. He is also wanted by the Empire and needs a lot of rescuing. That is where Din comes in.
Din springs into action to save him when Grogu is first taken in Season 1. He does not have as many allies as he does in Season 2, and has to do it all alone. He has to brave blaster fire and fight many stormtroopers to get to the little green alien.
1. Removing His Helmet So Grogu Can See His Face
One of the saddest moments in the entire series has to be when Din removes his helmet so Grogu can see his face one last time before he leaves with Luke Skywalker in the Season 2 finale. After Din rescues Grogu from the clutches of Moff Gideon, he only gets to spend a little time with Grogu. Din decides to break the Mandalorian code, removes his helmet, and lets Grogu see him. Their separation is short-lived, however, and they reunite at the end of The Book of Boba Fett.
Din Djarin has had many great moments in the two seasons we have known him. He has grown from a ruthless bounty hunter who only cared about making money, to being a father figure to Grogu. He has made friends across the galaxy, who he can count on for help in the upcoming season. He and Grogu are an excellent team, and I cannot wait to see where Season 3 brings our favorite bounty hunter and his son.
The Mandalorian Season 3 premieres March 1st, 2023 on Disney+.
