Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order’s highly anticipated sequel, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor was originally supposed to be released this month. However, the game was delayed six weeks, so Respawn could work on it a bit more and make sure it can be the best it can be before its new release date of April 28th, 2023. The game will follow Cal Kestis, and the rest of the Mantis crew, as they continue to evade the Empire. There were some big moments that happened in the first game. To get us ready for the release of the sequel, let's revisit some of these moments.

5. Cal Meets BD-1

Cal meets the droid BD-1 on the first planet the player visits. Cal talks to the droid and tells him he's looking for a Jedi. BD-1 knows who he is talking about, and is able to guide Cal to the Jedi.

BD-1 is the most essential companion in the game. On your journey, you are able to upgrade the droid, and repair him if need be. He helps out Cal a lot by opening different doors or splicing into computer terminals.

4. Cere And Greez Rescue Cal

Cal’s fight against the Second Sister is not going well. She is way more powerful than he is. Cal, however, is saved by Cere and Greez. Cere yells at Cal to get on the ship, but the Second Sister decides to follow. Cere shoots at her with a blaster, which, unfortunately, isn’t doing any damage. Greez manages to shake her off the ship, once they’re in the air.

3. Cal Fights Malicos

Cal finally finds the Jedi on Dathomir. However, he is not what Cal expects as the Jedi Taron Malicos has turned to the dark side. Malicos moves in to engage Cal in a lightsaber duel and it is clear that he is much more powerful than Cal. However, Cal manages to hold his own, and eventually gets aid from a mysterious Force user, who we later find out is Nightsister Merrin. She and Cal decide to help each other, and she ends up joining the Mantis crew.

2. Order 66

Cal’s flashbacks help him on his way to becoming a Jedi as he and the player overcome obstacles in their path. One of these flashbacks showed players the events of Order 66 from Padawan Cal’s perspective. He and his Master Joro Tapal are training when Palpatine issues the order. They start to run but are eventually caught by the clone troopers. Joro sacrifices himself so Cal can get out safely.

Every Order 66 scene is heartbreaking, and this one is no different. This is a view of the event through the eyes of a child as he experiences his master’s death.

1. The Ending Scene

The ending scene of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is one of the coolest in video game history. Cal breaks into Fortress Inquisitorius to retrieve the holocron that the Second Sister has stolen. As he and Cere confront the Second Sister, a familiar face makes an appearance. Darth Vader appears behind the Second Sister and kills her. He then chases Cal around the Fortress, and Cal has to try his best to escape the menacing Sith Lord. This entire sequence is absolutely terrifying.

Cal Kestis has been through a lot on his journey to become a Jedi and rebuild the order. However, he is no longer alone. While Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be tougher than the first game, it is nothing Cal can’t handle.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor releases on April 28th, 2023 for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
