Who Is The Voice Behind Ahsoka Tano?
Debuting in 2008 in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Ahsoka Tano quickly became an iconic Star Wars character. Besides that, movie, Ahsoka has appeared in The Clone Wars series, Star Wars: Rebels, Star Wars: Forces of Destiny, several video games, The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and in the upcoming Tales of the Jedi. Plus, the character is getting her own series. In live action, Rosario Dawson plays Ahsoka, but in all of the animated movies, shows, and games Ashley Eckstein is the voice behind the character. As a matter of fact, Eckstein worked with Dave Filoni and George Lucas to help develop Ahsoka’s character.
As an actor, Eckstein has appeared in such feature films as Sydney White. On television, she has been in That’s So Raven, That 70s Show, Sofia the First, Ultimate Spider-man, and Avengers Assemble among others. She was born in 1981, as Ashley Drane, in Kentucky, but she was raised in Orlando, Florida. Her first job was as a cast member at Disney-MGM studios. In 2005, Eckstein married Major League Baseball player, David Eckstein.

Yet, Ashley Eckstein is so much more than an actor and wife. She is also an entrepreneur, a fashion designer, an author, and an inspirational speaker. In 2010, Eckstein founded the company Her Universe. Eckstein recognized an underserved market for girls and women who love science fiction and has been very successful catering to them. As an author, Eckstein has published It’s Your Universe. It’s part inspirational guide and part autobiography. As a speaker, she has been brought in to talk to such companies as Disney, HSN, and Comicon International. Finally, she is a social media influencer with over 200,000 followers on Instagram.
As a fangirl and Disney fanatic herself, Ashley Eckstein really gets her audience. She has done and continues to do a tremendous amount of good with her platform, especially making the fandom community less sexist. Nothing against Rosario Dawson, but Eckstein will always be the true Ahsoka Tano.
