Hasbro Reveals Iconic New Figures For Pre-Order

Classic Kenner 'Star Wars' action figures

Just in time for Star Wars Celebration, Hasbro has a big release for those of us who need an excuse to buy yet another display cabinet or ditch those pesky work files to make room for more Star Wars models on the bedroom shelves.

Retro Series

Wave five of the "Retro" line of figures based on the original 1978 Kenner range with a 3.75 scale and classic back cards is now available for pre-order. Reva has been included in the update, as well as a New Hope multipack, including Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Stormtrooper, and Darth Vader. Also included in the range is also a very cool retro Chewbacca in primary colors, however, that is currently sold out, but keep a lookout for him later in the year.

Vintage Series

Reva is also available for pre-order in the Vintage line with a more modern look than her ‘Retro’ counterpart. The new collection is impressively detailed and is flying off the shelves with pre-orders of the Heavy Assault Stormtrooper, Gaming Greats Stormtrooper, and 332nd Ahsoka Clone Trooper already out of stock on hasbropulse.com. But still in stock is a very cool Lando Calrissian wearing "that" yellow shirt, rendered mid strut which is probably not going to be around much longer.

Black Series

Not to be outdone, the iconic Black series also has some new additions. Leia features heavily with two new figures, her Ewok Village outfit is particularly well done by Hasbro. Interestingly there is a 6inch figure of Saw Gerrera in this range. Make of that what you will. As expected, there is also a Kenobi figure labeled as a "wandering Jedi." Within the Black Series, they have released a subset called Black Series Archive where they have updated previous versions of figures they have already produced, such as Dengar, Palpatine, and C3PO.

When Can We Get Our Hands On Them?

The Retro and Vintage Collections will start to feed into general sale this autumn. Black Series Archive will be coming out this winter, don’t expect to see anything from the new wave of Black Series until Spring 2023. So if you’ve pre-ordered that Darksaber, you’ve got a while to wait.
