Exclusive: Ashley Eckstein Says She Will Not Appear In 'Ahsoka'
Ashely Eckstein, known for voicing Ahsoka Tano in various animated Star Wars series, has given a source close to Culture Slate an exclusive answer at Star Wars Celebration to what most fans have been wondering: Will we see her in Ahsoka?
Unfortunately the answer is no, at least, as of right now. Ashely shared with our people at Star Wars Celebration that she has not been approached by Lucasfilm to do a cameo in the new series. Ashely stated that, to quote, "They have not approached me yet but there is always hope."
We appreciate the life that Ashley has breathed into Ahsoka, and she will always be Ahsoka in the end. There have been thousands of fans wishing for her to make a live-action appearance as the character and some were even angry when it was announced that Rosario Dawson would be picking up Ahsoka's lightsabers and charisma for the foreseeable future of live-action projects. Most of that frustration stems from Ashley's voice being used in The Clone Wars and the Sequel Trilogy and her completely flawless cosplay of the character, it seems like the perfect choice, right?
There is still hope we will see Ashely in live-action and we hope that the love for the character and the actress will give Lucasfilm a push in the right direction.
