This 'Star Wars' Fan Translated All The Aurebesh In 'Andor' So You Don't Have To
Never underestimate the ability of Star Wars fans to absorb every detail about the series that they love. If you look at some of the theories fans have come up with, you can see this skill in action. When The Force Awakens came out, people used aspects of each existing Star Wars movie to support their Snoke theories, with many even adjusting these theories after the release of Rogue One. Others even predicted the twist of Rey being a Palpatine. Now, once again, someone out there has managed to once again prove that nothing is off the books when it comes to dissecting everything.
While so many people analyze Andor for details on mysteries like what they were building in the Imperial prison, Youtuber Avela Vandela went the extra mile with a small detail many fans wouldn’t even think twice about. She looked at all of the Aurebesh (the written language in the Star Wars universe) in Andor and translated all of them into traditional English. Many of them show the great attention to detail that fans have claimed about the series, for example, a shop with plenty of spare mechanical parts is labelled simply ‘droid parts’, while others are clearly just easter eggs giving names of the cast and crew who worked on the show. The entire first season of Andor is now available to watch on Disney+, with a season 2 expected to come out sometime in 2024.
