Star Wars Fan Reacts To 'Star Wars: Andor' Trailer
A new trailer for Star Wars: Andor was shown on Good Morning America by Diego Luna with the news that the show’s release had been pushed back to September 21st. But the delay came with a silver lining, the show's premiere would be three parts instead of the expected two. Alongside this news was the trailer itself. The establishing shots take no time to throw the viewers’ neck-deep into the action. These shots take viewers to new worlds and show new characters. All of this builds up to one moment in the Star Wars universe the formation of the Rebel Alliance.
The trailer highlights two things throughout it, the Empire tightening its grip and the planets that try to slip through it. Seeing these ISB officers in a meeting room discussing rebel cells and how to handle them adds a layer to Star Wars that fans rarely get to see onscreen, how the Empire polices its citizens. This is highlighted further on in the trailer when a riot breaks out, Imperial responders unilaterally escalate the situation with the use of force. While action-packed, the trailer also sets up the show's overall tone in a way that makes fans want so much more. But sadly we will have to wait until next month on the 21st.
