The intro theme for the upcoming Sonic Frontiers has just been released. Though viewers in Japan caught a glimpse of it in an advertisement that aired last month, what appears to be close to the full version has just been released in an animated lyric video posted on the Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube on September 8th. SEGA credits Merry-Kirk Holmes from the band To Octavia with writing the lyrics and singing lead vocals, Tomoya Ohtani with composing and arranging the song, Takahito Eguchi with arranging the strings, MEG with guitars and programming, and Muroya Strings with performing the strings heard on the song. Composer and arranger Tomoya Ohtani posted a tweet describing his intentions behind the song.

Fans have once again been warmly receiving this new song and have seen it as an indication of the new direction SEGA is taking the Sonic brand. Once more, fan videos have also been created, including YouTuber Tails Boom with their fan-made music video for the song. Some are even saying that the intro and ending themes reflect the emotional state of the blue blur during this game. Several have taken to analyzing the lyrics, including YouTube user The Sonic Show. Many of the lyrics in the song can be interpreted as indications of the villain Sage's control over the island and the new direction of the game itself. Sonic fans have a lot to look forward to when Sonic Frontiers speeds onto all major consoles on November 8th of this year.
